A Pumpkin-y Easter

It really is quite wonderful how much Astra and Orion have taken to one another. They spend a good chunk of their days chasing each other and playing hide and seek, as evidenced by these photos from last week:

Partners in crime!

It’s tough work running a blog about such epic cuteness. That’s why Astra sits next to the computer screen and inspects my work before each post of Astra Kitty goes live. :)
A kitty tunnel was purchased for the other cats before we got Astra. For the last week, Astra and her brother, Orion, have had great fun playing in the tunnel that was in the spare room. Last night I dragged the tunnel out into the middle of the living room floor, much to the delight of all the cats. They had a blast playing in the tunnnel, chasing each other through it and performing stealth attacks by hiding in the tunnel and waiting until one of the other cats walked past to jump out the opening in the top of the tunnel.
Matt managed to snap this fast picture with his iPhone of Astra poking her head out of the tunnel:

Video coming soon of the kitties playing in the tunnel. :)

Saw this car magnet while standing in line at my local Petco. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Adopting a stray is such a satisfying and awesome thing to do. The secret, though, is that you get just as much out of it as your pet does. I hope that all the people who purchased their pets one day get to know how awesome it is to adopt a pet, too.
